Sirtuin 6 is a multifunctional protein deacylase that also acts as histone deacetylase. It is one of the most promising targets in ageing and age-related diseases.
We are focusing on the development and testing on novel sirtuin 6 activators and on the characterization of the structure-function relationship of sirtuin 6 activation.
